Ethio-Austrian Development Cooperation Agreement Ratification Proclamation

WHEREAS, the Agreement on Development Cooperation between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Federal Republic of Austria was signed in Vienna on the 29th day of May, 1996;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 17th day of December, 1996;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 sub-Articles (1) and (12) of the Constitution, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:

1. Short Title

This Proclamation may be cited as the “Ethio-Austrian Development Cooperation Agreement Ratification Proclamation No. 56/1996.”

2. Ratification of the Agreement

The Ethio-Austrian Agreement on Development Cooperation signed in Vienna on the 29th day of May, 1996 is ratified.

3. Power of the Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation

The Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation is hereby empowered to implement the Agreement in cooperation with the concerned governmental and private organs.

4. Effective Date

This proclamation shall enter into force as of the 17th day of December, 1996.
