The Republic of Djibouti Air Transport Service Agreement Ratification Proclamation

WHEREAS, an Air Transport Service Agreement, between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Republic of Djibouti, was signed in Addis Ababa, on the 3rd day of February, 1998;

WHEREAS, it is stipulated in the Agreement that the Agreement shall definitively come into force on the date of exchange, through diplomatic channels, of the fulfillment of the respective constitutional formalities of the Contracting Parties, concerning the conclusion and implementation of international agreements;

WHEREAS, the House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has ratified said Agreement at its session held on the 16th day of April, 1998;

NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 55 sub-Articles (1) and (12) of the Constitution, it is hereby proclaimed as follows:

1. SHORT TITLE

This Proclamation may be cited as “The Republic of Djibouti Air Transport Service Agreement Ratification Proclamation No.108/1998.”

2. RATIFICATION OF THE AGREEMENT

The Air Transport Service Agreement signed in Addis Ababa on the 3rd day of February, 1998 between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Republic of Djibouti is hereby ratified.

3. POWER OF THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATIONS

The Minister of Transport and Communications is hereby empowered to undertake all acts necessary for the implementation of the Agreement.

4. EFFECTIVE DATE

This Proclamation shall enter into force as of the 16th day of April, 1998.
